"Last Minute" Updates Screwed-up Return

Enjoyed the walk thru of all areas for filing Fed & State income taxes and TurboTax Answer exchange.
Need to have faster turn around on Answer exchange, not relevant if it takes longer than 15 minutes to get an answer!
Last minute updates required to software before e-file caused screw-up of federal return (dropped out 1 of 2 IRA contributions) for married filing jointly. Had to walk thru from the beginning on 1040 what numbers changed. If I hadn't printed off the preview copy of my return (136 pages!) I would be spending long hours to find the problem and fix it!
What's great about it: Great walk thru to cover all apects of the tax return.
What's not so great: Last minute software update required to e-file deleted 1 of 2 IRA contributions. No error check to correct issue.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax 2013

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and it is generally a great product, easy to understand, get around, and complete.
This year I could not find where to enter my health insurance premiums (I'm self-employed) to get the deduction. The program said to enter them in connection with the relevant K-1, but I could not find any spot to do so, so I had to enter them by overriding the blank entry on the 1040 form. That produced an error result during the review, which I just had to ignore.
I'm not positive, but I think I had the same problem last year.
What's great about it: Generally easy to use and understand
What's not so great: Hard to find where to enter health insurance premiums

Been using this product for years and it works well no matter what income sources I have or how tax laws/guidelines change.
What's great about it: good interface, usually clear questions and flow
What's not so great: definitions occasionally unclear

TurboTax...Still Very Easy to File Tax Returns

I have been using TurboTax to file my federal and state tax returns since the first time in 2008.
I have been using the Deluxe version as it fits my needs best with the right balance between ease of use and comprehensive detail. I itemize to maximize deductions, and the Basic version doesn't provide that capability. The Deluxe version allows me to do that.
Caveat: I have only used TurboTax to do my taxes. I haven't purchased others to test them because TurboTax has worked for me ever since I began using it. I don't see the point in purchasing another brand of tax preparation software simply to see what, if any differences there might be when TurboTax seems to do the job.
Would H&R Block or any of the other brands really make that much of a difference when they all are supposedly designed with the latest tax laws factored into their programing? It doesn't seem likely that there will be that much of a difference to make me change software.
What's great about it: Each year's version imports information from the previous year's filing. This reduces time to enter basic information.
What's not so great: Can't really think of any right now. I don't remember having any issues.

TURBO TAX MAKES IT EASY FOR ANYONE TO FILE THEIR TAXS AND BE SURE THAT THEY ARE GETTING THE MOST UPTO DATE FORMS.
What's great about it: EASY OF ENTERING ALL MY INFO AND BEING SURE I GET THE MAX. DEDUCTIONS
What's not so great: HAD A LITTLE TROUBLE WITH PASSWORD SECTION

long time turbotax user

did not like this years employee deduction work sheet. got a new computer this year before doing taxes and had trouble transferring last years info. when adding info started from scratch until end and found last several years info was located. Doing my deductions I had to complete sections to find out what I needed to write especially employee info and then go back and reenter. I may look into someone else's software next year
What's great about it: somewhat used to format
What's not so great: cost for state e file keeps going up every year
