Very good. liked the walk through for each area. One area that could help is to provide more info and more help in getting a Federal E-file pin. You have all the information from last year. Turbo Tax could populate the info needed on the IRS site and get the pin immediately even if Turbo Tax takes the customer to the E-file site to get the pin and have the customer to provide some information to make it legal.
What's great about it: Very good walk throughs
What's not so great: Need more help with Federal Pins.

Good but optional fees add up

It's hard to know if the Audit Defense is worth it. Perhaps it pays for "peace of mind" but I'm sure it is not going to be that peaceful and cost-free if I get audited, even if I have Audit Defense.
The state e-file costs extra.
Unreimbursed job-related expenses: not straighforward because there are at least 2 different places to put them in. This section could use improvement (e.g. start with each job instead of a general list)

Outstanding Tax Preparer

A User of Turbo Tax Deluxe for over 20 years, and will continue to be a loyal customer of the product. I am always amazed at the accuracy and completeness of my tax preparation done with Turbo Tax. On my own, I would have missed over $4000 dollars in new deduction, as a result of the latest tax law changes this filling year. The price of accuracy, completeness, extra saving and peace-of-mind was well worth the cost of the program.

Easy as Pie

I appreciate the ease with which TurboTax guides you through all areas of the federal return process. The state tax process is a bit more cumbersome and can be confusing. I felt that the cost of e-filing the state return this year was excessive, especially given that I was paying in to the state already. I would like to see this as a free service, as the federal e-file is.
What's great about it: Ease of finding deductions, calculations, and support

Best automation for filling taxes yet

I've used TurboTax for many years, and it keeps getting better and better and more automated. The downloading of Sch D transactions with cost basis is so painless and automatic, it saves hours and hours of entry. K1s can also be downloaded, as well as 1099-Div. I love the guided question and answer method of entry too. Help text is in a small pop up block, and is hard to read, but it does let you go to the web for more information and enhanced searching which is nice. TurboTax automation is well written and very impressive.
What's great about it: The ease of downloading Sch D data and the guide to each income and deduction and all aspects of doing taxes is automate
What's not so great: Help text is sometimes hard to understand, and not in a full screen for readability.
