Not Helpful This Year

Very disappoint this year. When I filed my state tax return it said I would get $1,600 back instead I only got $400 from VA. I can understand being off by a couple of dollars but not over a thousand.
I just filed my federal returns and hope it is not this off and gets me in trouble.
I'll have to find another way to do my taxes next year.

What's great about it: quick and easy
What's not so great: State Tax was completely wrong

Don't change a thing--Excellent program
What's great about it: Easy very explainable information
What's not so great: printing-defaults to wordpad and is not readable or easy to correct

I think that Turbo Tax should explain why taxes have went up or down from the previous year. As a minimum it could display the applicable tax tables to provide some insight as to how the tax was calculated.
What's great about it: Quick and easy
What's not so great: Not as intuitive as previous years.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax - Do it with Paper & Crayons

TurboTax needs to drop their e-file fee for state - it's bogus to sell a product and ratchet up fees at the end.
What's great about it: None
What's not so great: Most - I had one issue in the state where there is no help function and the software would not let me change.

Have not seen any improvement in ease of use over the years. It is a usefull program if I can get a hard copy which I will get by printing my copy out side of Turbo Tax.. I will use Tubo Tax next year as I know it will work and will be simular to my 8 year experience.

What's not so great: Would not print a copy,would only save and allow me to preview

DOING MY TAXES WITH YOUR PROGRAM IS SO EASY. THE PROGRAM GUIDES YOU THROUGH EVERYTHING AND ASKS ABOUT THINGS I DIDNT EVEN THINK OF.
