Good Experience for 2013 Taxes

My 2013 Income and State Taxes were done with Turbo Tax. I especially liked not having to enter my data again for the State Return. Overall, it was a good experience for me.

Love Turbo Tax

I've used TT for several years. Our taxes are not particularly complicated. A couple of years ago, we were reviewed. A review is different than an audit as was explained to me. I grabbed my TT documents and supporting documents and headed in to the IRS office. After the review, it turns out the IRS owed us $6.00.

Paying State Taxes....

The only real issue I had was the cost to file the state taxes. Since I had to pay this year, I didn't think the cost to e-file the state forms was worth using. Having filed the federal as the free e-file, it would be nice if they included the cost for the state e-file as part of the software.

What's not so great: Fee for filing when paying state taxes

NO Matter

it seems like between Year 2012 and Year 2013 something happened where it got so much more complicated to do your own taxes even with the Excellent Turbo Tax...or is it just me?
What's great about it: every attempt made to give people the ability to do their own taxes
What's not so great: taxes are sooooo complicated now even these programs struggle to make it simple

i said turBOO tax is because no one reads positive reviews and people need to know Turbo Tax is great. I have used turbo tax for many years and its a great program I suggest to all my friends.
What's great about it: easy to use, fast, user friendly,
What's not so great: expensive for a program you use only one time

What's not so great: When you finish your return the program does not let you start a second return because you are leaving Turbotax.
