As soon as you start Turbo Tax it should stop you & search for program upgrades BEFORE letting you start the return
What's great about it: Quicker than before
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Great product. I have used it for years and this is the first time I e-filed. I hope it goes through OK.
What's great about it: The step by step process helped me understand better.
What's not so great: The time it took for me to install on my computer was lengthy.

The IA and QA teams need to invest more time

Overall the software is easy to use. Unfortunately, there are numerous incidents in the flow of the software where the user is asked to fill in a form that seems to have no relevance to any information. In those instances there is no explanation of what information should go in what field. When the program says something like "adjustment to federal income" without any context of what kind of adjustment, it's just impossible to determine how to move ahead.
Secondly, a detailed explanation of how the overall tax burden is calculated would be helpful. For example, (capital gains taxes = x, income tax = y, tax on interest = z, etc.)
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Numerous steps are extremely confusing with no explanation of what information goes in what field.

Disappointing

Very disappointed, I have always used Turbo Tax but this time I had to buy the state TWICE, so I will need one payment refunded. Major error on VA state supposed to be amended without any source for an explanation or answer/fix
What's not so great: forced multiple check without resolution, completely dissatisfied.

Unable to file a Florida return

Downloaded Turbotax Delux which autimat loaded info from 2012 and I filled forms, printed a copy for review, went to efile on the 15th and got a message that as a Florida resident I cannot efile certain forms. Unacceptable to be told this after being told eflle is best. Program now seems to feel I have efiled as I selected this and now cannot print a final copy. I do have my review copy which I may have to submit. Keep this communication as your record for me that I met the deadline.
What's great about it: Did it last year with no problems
What's not so great: Can not efile for 2013 because I have done a Florida return.

Not Intuitive

I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years and this was the most difficult user experience I have ever had. Very disappointed.

Not good this Year

Worst year ever using Turbo Tax. Loaded disc and it said it updated.
When federal 1040 was completed it wouldn't efile. After hours of searching found a patch on Turbo Tax site. Wouldn't transfer 1040 info to IL-1040 and couldn't efile state taxes.
April 28 the tax forms merged okay. 13 days late.

Only figured that out because of Illinois sent correction notice.
What's great about it: Was good till this year.
What's not so great: Form 1040 was out of date and couldn't update, Efile federal didn't work
