The hard to understand sections are more due to the tax code. Even the explanations are hard to understand.
What's great about it: Good product easy to use
What's not so great: Some sections are hard to understand

Used TurboTax in the past, this year not too happy

It's April 13th and I am still getting messages that I can't file my federal taxes, because certain forms aren't ready. My federal taxes and one state were filed and accepted a week ago. I still have one state to go - Mississippi. Wouldn't let me file with the others. When I try to go back into it to see what the problem is, I keep going round and round with updates, of which there are none. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!! I'm thinking at this late date, all forms should be ready! I used a different tax program last year because of similar issues. I think I'll go back to them next year.
What's great about it: I like the step-by-step process
What's not so great: Had great difficulty getting back to specific areas

I couple of things I would like (but not important enough that I wouldn't continue buying#.
1.) Is it possible to add/attach images? I think it would be cool to scan/upload images of all the forms I use for the return #property taxes, charitable donations, etc...). All in one place so that I could print out everything if ever needed instead of rumaging through boxes of paper. Just a thought... I know, many people don't have scanners. But upload images...wait, how about an app that works with the product...snap pics on your phone through an app and have it attach to the correct form...or available in an image store to attach yourself? Yes...def need security and protection for secure documents that may have soc security numbers. But I like the idea!
2.) Even after all these years, I still get a little confused on the detail in Box 12 and 13 on the W-2. Sometimes I really don't know what it means even after reading the additional info provided. Does it even make sense to anyone? If so, can you add more information about treatment of those items? Just a thought...
What's great about it: I like how fast and easy this is each year...transferring the data from year to year helps and saves time/keying errors
What's not so great: Only suggestions below

Fast and Easy

I have been using TurboTax for years and continue to be pleased with the ease with which it allows me to complete my taxes. The overall cost is negligible when compared to other tax preparatory services.
What's great about it: Makes short work of a complicated process
What's not so great: Cost to E-File State Return

Easier than expected

A few years ago I decided to start doing my taxes myself so I could better understand what things I could deduct. Tax forms in their raw state are complicated and easy to mess up. Turbo tax gives a good mix of giving you visibility into what things affect tax without the complexity and potential for error using the base forms brings.
What's great about it: Handled some of the more complicated aspects of my taxes really easily
What's not so great: Had to buy the boxed product (on CD) to file my return because I couldn't buy the web version without a credit card
