Got It Done

The repetition happened several times. One was when I was completing and getting ready to e-file. I was prompted (again) to complete my state income tax even though TurboTax had already told me that Texas does not have state income tax.
The important parts were relatively straight forward and easy to complete. The roll-over of data from last year was especially helpful.
What's great about it: Quick and easy to accomplish.
What's not so great: There is to much repetition in certain areas.

Not to the quality I expect

I had three issues while using turbo tax deluxe:
1) on federal review there was an error, it put up a box to put an entry in but did not tell me in what part of the tax form the error originated... In the end I think it was complaining because I did not enter 0, but left the form blank.
2)In processing the NY 529 entry, I needed to enter the total contributions made, then next form listed all but the current years... (imported from last year thank god). Why not sum it up for me????
3) The program would not allow me to submit the tax return because I did not have the latest version, ended up downloading 3 times before I figured out that I needed to quit out and restart the program. The dialog tells me that I can press continue to go back... but it lies.

No need for a CPA

I really like Turbo Tax and have been using it for many years. The consistency of its template and helpful guide makes inputting data a breeze. If you opt to use the importing feature, the task is more simple. I wish it would have navigation controls at top and bottom of data entry pages (e.g., continue button). I tire of having to scroll up after many entries on the contributions page, for example.
What's great about it: Seamless transfer of prior year data; Easy to follow guide; Thorough
What's not so great: Would like continue button at top and bottom. Requires scrolling if many entries
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Even Last Minute - Turbo Tax Makes It Easy!

Twenty years we've been using Turbo Tax for our family's returns. I do my mom's, mine and my son's - it works for all of us with 3 very different filing situations.
What's great about it: 20 years - still love it
What's not so great: Haven't ever had any cons!

I enjoyed, once again using Turbo Tax. However when I got to filing, I eFiled Federal and wanted to print State [SC]. I had to go to Printing my copies and selected out 3 pages I needed. Not real easy.
