During the input TurboTax never asked whether the foreign tax credit went on Schedule A or form 1163(?). During the review it blasted me for not providing the information. I could find no instructions as to what went where, so i just ended up guessing.
What's great about it: Made most of the filing easy.
What's not so great: Handling of Foreign Tax Credits was confusing.

the software is up on the latest rules and regs. I just answer the questions directly and the work is done by others. like my own private accountant. Took less than 4 hours this year and that is because I thought I missed a form from an account. turns out there was no form this year!
What's great about it: love the walk through dialog

My one suggestion.....

It seems 90% of the screen is wasted space. Never see anything occupying a majority of the screen. Why not increase the font size to make reading the information much less taxing on the eyes - no pun intended. It's too easy to miss some important step or piece of information when the words are so small. Hope you make some improvements on this matter. Thanks for asking!
What's great about it: thorough and easy to navigate
What's not so great: font size is much too small

My Experience

It would be nice if TT linked related returns from a household to play what ifs to minimize total taxes. Currently parents' data has to be manually input in a minor's return, as well as sibling data (for investment income). Tuition was not automatically offset against the proceeds from a Qualified Education Plan. I input it manually, then had to recalc the qualified education expenses to apply against scholarships on my own. Knowing this, I now need to check previous years returns to see if I need to amend any of them. I also manually played with the returns to see whether or not I should continue to claim a child in school as a dependent. It would be nice it this was presented automatically.
What's great about it: Good overall value
What's not so great: Does not link related returns from the same household. Did not offset Prepaid Tuition with tuition.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I can count on Turbo Tax every year to help me file my taxes fast and easily. I let Turbo Tax keep up with the tax laws to keep me honest. I can remember sitting and doing my taxes by hand, referring to booklets and tax charts....not anymore. Thank you, Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy transfer of info from last years taxes, easy progression through tax forms
What's not so great: None
