Quick and Easy

Quick and easy to use. They guide you through every step and check for review. Also get the State version for free and drops all info from Federal into state. I have used other tax programs but always come back to Tubro Tax.
What's great about it: Easy and quick to use. I have used it for many years and have found no better
What's not so great: A little slow, but I am using an old computer

Helped me understand when no one else would!

I really appreciate the way I could move back and forth between my return in case I missed something or was confused about something....also there is where the information is listed from the year before to reference. That was helpful as well.
What's great about it: Put things in easier terms for me to understand and I could go back if I got confused

Less Pain and Suffering

We've been using Turbo Tax since our 2009 returns. Each year seems to get easier and the real hurdles are IRS driven issues. I know I'm not the only person in the US who feels a bit threatened every time I send in my return. I'm not one of the 5%-ers who can afford to pay an accountant to offshore my 'other earnings' and yet I've been audited twice in 10 years because the data that gets sent to the IRS is out of context. Oh well at least I can sleep with a good conscience knowing I'm not depriving my fellow citizens of services that they need. Just wish the 1% felt a bit more patriotic.
What's great about it: Interview process was pretty straightforward
What's not so great: Download of data from Schwab accounts is intermittently successful

I love TurboTax

I really enjoyed how simple TurboTax made filing my taxes. This was my first time filing by myself and TurboTax walked me through each step and explained everything thoroughly.
What's great about it: Made filing simple and easy
What's not so great: No cons.

Difficult to edit and switch to irs forms

I needed to supply addresses for more than half of the charities I donated to last year. It was not clear how to delete a spurious Canadian form in the program.
What's great about it: similar to previous editions
What's not so great: did not save charity address info from previous year
