Automatic updates don't work. Probably because of password.
What's great about it: worked same as last year.
What's not so great: Unable to efile fed return.

Easy 2013 Tax Prep

TurboTax continues to improve year after year. Easy to use and guides me through the complex tax process with clear and concise help support. Updates appear quicker to upload than in the past.
What's great about it: Quick and detailed experience. Good explainations in the help sections.
What's not so great: Taxes take a long time, but TurboTax gets me through the process

Too Expensive

I am highly disgusted at the price of Turbo Tax. It is just too expensive to e-file and get direct deposit. I may be looking for an accountant next year.
What's great about it: has most information in so don't have to type
What's not so great: Way too expensive to file and efile. Almost as much as an accountant.

Easy Peasy

I drifted away from Turbo Tax last year but not again. It's strait forward and sensible and almost always makes perfect sense. And if you're remotely confused there's always a button to push that further explains the step. Excellent tax software!
What's great about it: If you follow the instructions you will not believe how easy doing your taxes can be.

No big surprises with final payment, since the amount is always displayed at the top. I appreciate the feeling of security in getting my form submitted in time, even at the last minute. The 1099-INT section is just a bit confusing. Is my institution information there? Do I have to input it manually?
What's great about it: Reassurances, explanations all along the way, checks & reviews, simple, clear language.
What's not so great: Uncertain how to procede at the point of putting in institutitons for 1099-INTs
