Tax Prep is Better Every Year!

Used every year, your tax prep will be a snap!
What's great about it: Easy to use screens, with clear fonts and phrasing of inquiries every step of the way.
What's not so great: Lacks a drop-down to explain ROTH limits. (Filing federal taxes as married for the first time.)

ending hitch

the program developed a hitch at the end and kept insisting on installing the same updates, this was on 4/11. after installing the updates for the umpteenth time I was finally able to complete and submit my return.
What's great about it: i like turbo tax and will use it again
What's not so great: updating problem at the end of the process

Turbo tax goes through each issue in great detail. I would have forgotten a few items if it wasn't for that. It also has last years details which is very useful for comparison.
What's great about it: detail oriented, last years info for a comparison

Overall I was very pleased with using TurboTax this year. I had used another tax prep software in prior years, but the ability to integrate with Quicken led me to using TurboTax. Unfortunately, this did not work effectively this year, but I will remedy that next year.
I found Quicken very good at guiding the preparer, regardless of skill level. The menus were helpful, and I felt comfortable with the calculations.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: sometimes too detailed

I generally enjoy the ease of Turbo Tax. It is just difficult to manage two different state returns.
