turbotax was easy to understand and had helpful hints all the way through. made filing taxes a breeze even at the last moment. rechecked everything and found problems quickly. I got more money then I expected.

Too many extra costs.

Hidden fees for extra states and E-filing are very high.
What's not so great: Expensive when multiple state returns are required. E-file fees hidden until you try to submit.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

So Fast & Easy

Using Turbo Tax for over 10 years and it just improves every year! The questions are easy to understand. The examples given to help decision making are great. So fast and easy to file both the Federal and State returns.

Navigation through the product is easy to follow It walks me through the process which save me time and aggravation. I don't have any cons at the moment.
What's great about it: I like Turbo Tax easy guide in filing tax.
What's not so great: No product is perfect

The only way to go!
several items had to be entered during the check up that were entered earlier.
I know the "changes" and late date the gov presented caused you hardships

Way easier than H&R

Loved the ease of TurboTax. Used another service last year and ended up going to their in person service and costing additional $300. Never again. TurboTax was easy/fun to use. Had problem e-filing as kept sending msg it didn't go through because it needed upgrades. I did upgrades 2x and tried to e-file 2x with same result. Finally got advice on-line from another MAC user that with the MAC I had to remove the disc and close the program and do a restart, then do upgrade. Worked perfectly. Would be helpful if there was info regarding MAC issues that are different from PC. Would've saved frustration but am done now and happy. Thank you TurboTax!
What's great about it: Very easy to follow
What's not so great: Couldn't complete e-file, needed updates, still wouldn't e-file. Got info on line/Mac issue/ o.k. now

Mac app - gets better every year

I've been using TurboTax for many years, Quicken before that. The old Windows programs were just OK. But most problems I had back then were Windows issues. The Mac apps have been excellent and nearly flawless. They've maintained a fairly consistent user experience cross-platform, while also providing a good Mac feel. 5 stars / A+ / well done!
What's great about it: Easy to use, does it all
What's not so great: e-file failed because there were updates (ok) but didn't work until manual app restart
