A little buggy

How to deal with a loss from a farm operation was not well explained.
e-filing was far more difficult than necessary. The first two times I tried, it failed at validation saying that updates were necessary first (even though updates were installed earlier the same day). The next two times, it insisted I had to fill in an EIN for a 1099-MISC form that I had deleted. After printing the federal form to file by mail and e-filing the state return, I tried one more time. This time it worked.

Pension snag

Never used such a unfriendly tax software. makes me want to back to paying someone else. There is a loop when you restart the state filing, doesn't want to look at the whole state just the review.
I see the pension snag on the review questions others have ask. I had the same even though I ran the update several times. What an irritation.

Great Software

The only difficulty came because I work in one state and live in another (WI_MN) and so had to do one state by hand. Otherwise, 5 stars.
What's great about it: Easy to use and comprehensive in its approach for most people.
What's not so great: Can't use if have salaries in two states.

My accountant was IMPRESSED

I also have an accountant for more complicated tax needs but when I showed him the work I did on TurboTax for our individual taxes he said, "WOW! This is as good as job I could have done for you and you saved yourselves from having to pay my fees :-) "
Great product Intuit, keep it coming!!!

What's not so great: SOmetimes I'd just like to hide the auto-caclulation

Turbotax Does the Job

Overall, TT is a solid product. Have had some problems in previous years with the software glitching, but this year went very smoothly.
What's great about it: Reliable ... Usually does a good job.
What's not so great: Occasionally run into glitches.

I rely on Turbo Tax every year. I find the tool user friendly, very helpful, and online support are ready to answer any questions. This tool really simplifies the complicated task of filling out Fed. and State returns, and works hard at finding all the deductions that one would qualify for.It also calculates the various senarios and selects the one that gives the greatest refund.
What's great about it: Very helpful, easy to use, simplifies a complicated process.

Good product but slightly less than mildly annoying to use. It's taxes so that's a greta review!

What's not so great: It would be nice if Turbo Tax tells you to check for updates every time you open it.
