Easy peasy

I've used TurboTax for quite a few years now and find it as easy to use as I believe it's possible to be. Explanations are clear and understandable. I particularly like how it pulls info from prior years for contrast/comparison which lets me ponder the differences and ensure current years are correct.
What's great about it: Easy to do and helpful explanations

Great software

I was skeptical about purchasing Turbotax but it really made a lot of difference. It saves a lot of headache not having to read detailed descriptions of deductions and tax tables.
What's great about it: Everything was great and so easy.
What's not so great: No cons.

Quick and easy

Year after year Turbo tax has simplified the tax filing process. The easiy to follow guide paired with the quick links to further explainations make turbo tax the premier choice for quick and easy filing. The one bump in the road I incountered this year was that when installing turbo tax it did not automatically check for updates. You had to know to manually check for software/form updates.
What's great about it: Quick and easy to use
What's not so great: Didn't automatically check for software updates

This is the easiest way to file. Have your paperwork in front of you, fill in the blanks and voila, you're done! No hassle filing.

Great Timesaver

State filing is easy and takes just a few minutes since turbotax transfers most of the information to the state forms for you.
What's great about it: Takes care of running calculations and transfers to appropriate form
What's not so great: format changes that require refamiliarization with forms and entry process

Need to specify the 2012 AGI in detail for the e-file verify option 2. I filed jointly this year, but I filed single last year. I "guessed" to use my single 2012 figure -vs- adding two single AGI's for me and my spouse.
What's not so great: Need explanation on "allocate federal adjustments" on MD taxes

Not much help for reducing taxes next year

One advantage of doing taxes manually was you could see how the numbers were being used in the forms. You could then see how you could better take advantage of certain tax breaks next year. Ie.: Are there tax breaks for dividends and how much? Are there tax breaks for IRAs and how much? etc. Knowing details like that can make planning to keep taxes low so much more easy to understand and do.
What's great about it: Relatively easy to fill out
What's not so great: Too distant from the forms to see how effects of the numbers entered could be improved for next year.
