Good help info.

The help info was great in answering some questions we had on medical insurance and theft. Much better than having to decipher IRS tax lingo. They provide links to that too if you think your up to it.
What's great about it: Detailed explanation of topics.

Suggestion: give the option NOT to see the money owed or refund numbers thru the process, at least until after all deductions are entered.. Seeing you owe $7,000 only stresses the user out early in the process...even though we of course intellectually realize the numbers will move in a better direction.

What's not so great: Give option of not seeing refund numbers at all until later in process...

Still the Best

I have used TT for many years with no problems.
I really don't consider any other method of doing taxes - I have confidence that TT will deliver.
No real surprises this year - interface has not changed, and is slick and works well - easy to navigate. Makes filing Federal+ State taxes as easy as possible,

What's great about it: Familiar interface which makes it easy to load the information
What's not so great: NO cons: TT does the BIZ

I prepared three returns using TurboTax. Overall, the program did a very good job. The only problem I had was that one of the returns had a forgiveness of debt issue with a Form 1099-C. That required the filing of a Form 982 which, as I read it, could not be done electronically via Turbo Tax. So, I had to file one return on paper. I realize that this is a complex area of the tax law, but this particular situation was factually very straightforward. Is it possible for future versions to at least make this an option for filing electronically?

First Time for Me

Overall...this probably saved me weeks of effort and errors, had I not used it.
What's great about it: Very methodical, fairly easy to understand, lots of opportunities to go back for review or make changes.
What's not so great: I got lost a few times...but could be me, too.
