It's easier to use than doing it yourself, but it's failure to find our 2012 returns that were done using Turbo Tax and were located on the same computer we used last year required us to input all the data again and didn't leave us confident that all deductions were considered.
What's great about it: It's Deductible offered more applicable categories than last year, making a tedious process easier.
What's not so great: Failed to find our 2012 return that was done by Turbo Tax and on the same computer.

Easy to use, occasionally pricey

I always like using TurboTax, and this year was no exception. It walked me through everything I needed, and made the process simple. The one drawback was when I had a question about an amount, it took me a while to find the forms, and then I still couldn't find the table they were referencing within the application. I'm also frustrated that the state returns still cost money to e-file, especially when it means they're charging me to pay my taxes. I know that's the state and not TurboTax, but it's still frustrating.
What's great about it: Simple data entry, smooth process
What's not so great: Harder to find form details if needed

Did taxes in one day--used to take days!

TurboTax makes filing SO SIMPLE for Federal and State income tax return preparation. Cuts the time required to complete the returns down by QUITE A BIT; although, I suggest saving all your information throughout the year in an organized fashion to make it easier to enter all your data. LOVED how TurboTax knows how to transfer stuff from Federal to State--this saves lots of redundant data entry and thus avoids date entry mistakes.
What's great about it: Easy--walked me through everything and explained everything

Need A Print-Screen Feature

No big complaints. I recommend the program be upgraded to allow screen prints of help topics and actual program screens. The best example is the screen toward the end of the process where the user has to agree to payment terms for the IRS and Turbo Tax. A telephone number is given and use of a PIN is outlined, yet there is no way to print the information for future use if there is a problem. Bottom line is that the information is useless since it's seen one time and then gone.
What's great about it: Overall, easy to use and very thorough.
What's not so great: Could not print screens.

One suggestion for future versions; it would be very helpful to see prior year's entries next to fields for this year's entries. This is done in some cases, but would be helpful to extend to all. Other than that, I've been a delighted user for many years, and plan to continue in the future.
What's great about it: Step-by-step is very helpful.

Everything is explained as you go, which isn't needed too much for me, mine is a simple return. You can just breeze through it if you have all you docs with you. Have done TT for several years now and I think it gets easier every year.
What's great about it: Very easy to use.
What's not so great: Couldn't see any.
