Would not e-file

The product is top notch, but when I went to e-file it sent me to update my product, I updated over 10X's and the update showed the same release notes each time and still would not e-file showing the same validation error - needed an update to e-file.
Unfortunately this is an attractive feature of this program so I'll not use it again since I can get free services that will e-file with no problems.
I use an imac with OS 10.7.5

What's great about it: Easy to follow and understand, plenty of references
What's not so great: would not e-file

Easy to use

I found the 2013 version of Turbo Tax very easy to use. It is superior to your past years and way superior to any competitors. I finished my taxes very quickly.

Turbo tax deluxe

I will no longer automatically sign up for receipt of a CD for turbo tax. for two years now I have not been able to do my returns easily because Turbo Tax is not compatible with my Mac. I may have an older Mac but that is no excuse. So no uploading is a to do, I have to use my daughters lap top and save my returns on a USB stick....what a pain.
What's great about it: can upload last year's info; easy to follow
What's not so great: not compatible with Mac

Asking to import income

I know that you're given the option not to ask the Import question after about the 3rd or 4th time, but I wish is were asked the 1st time around. I know I'm going to import my 1099-INT and DIV and the question annoys me.

Good Tax Tool

What's great about it: easy to use, mostly clear instructions
What's not so great: difficult understanding how to file state return by mail

After a restart of the program the e-file updates worked and validated…so I would have to rescend my last comments. Good program and I can now relax and not go to the P.O., wait in line to get a certified tax file to the IRS!

After years of using this product I was disappointed with this product version. I was not comfortable with the "easy" way and ended up doing it the long way. I started the "easy" way and it didn't seem logical and seemed to miss things i knew should be there. I am not sure I use it again. I will probably use the online free services.

We loved how there is a double check on everything. We also like how the system checks itself.
