Have used Turbotax for nearly 10 years. Nothing is better to me. Recommend this to my friends and family.. and even got some of them to use it too.

Making The Impossible, Possible

Without TurboTax I'd never have the time to go through all the forms and calculate my taxes by myself. It does provide me with the convenience of completing my taxes in the comfort of my own home. In addition, by the time I've accumulated all the information for Taxes (the hard work really), the remainder of the process through TurboTax is over all faster, more convenient and cheaper than having to make an appointment, bring the tax documentation and pay an accountant.
Sometimes I'd like a little more clarity on how the calculations are being done, But I've allowed myself the leap of faith that TurboTax has the process under control.
What's great about it: Allows me to do my own taxes despite a variety of calculation that I think I'd never understand
What's not so great: Lacks clarity in how some of the calculations are being performed

My Experiences with other Tax Services

For years I used another tax service and became more and more frustrated! I switched services several times but to my dismay, the service was bought out by the same company I was trying to avoid. Finally I choose Turbo Tax and all my filing problems disappeared. Turbo Tax is equipped to help you check for errors and give you suggestions so you may not skip or forget assests that can leave you with problems later down the road.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax has proven to be the BEST Tax service available
What's not so great: Delay in loading

Disappointed

In past years when we 1st installed TurboTax, updates were automatic. This time we didn't see any. At one point in our return the message was that TurboTax was working on updates. I signed up to receive e-mail notification that the updates were ready. Got an e-mail saying "still working on updates." And this was about April 10th! Googled the question & tried solution of "Run as Administrator." Still got no updates. I've forgotten now how I got around it. Very disappointed that for 2013 taxes, this wasn't all automatic.

Focus, Determination, and Desire

We have a lot of moving parts in our world, and our taxes are no exception. All the tools I needed were right there in the program, I just needed to know what I was looking for and determined to find what I needed. I like that you can step away when you need to and pick up where you left off as well as go back and adjust as needed. We have been using Turbo Tax for awhile and I can't imagine doing our taxes without it-nor can I imagine paying much more to have someone else do them for us.
What's great about it: It's all there, and easy to use when you find it
What's not so great: It's easy to miss something if you don't know what you're looking for or get distracted easily

Fast like a speeding train!!!!

I have been using Turbo tax for the last couple of years because one year when I tried to do it myself and compared it to turbo tax. Turbo tax when it tallied up my taxes was able to save me money in some deduction I had no idea about and would never know. So from that day forward I vowed that I would use turbo tax going forward, plus this saves me so many more hours than if I did it myself. so I would definitely recommend.
What's great about it: Easy to use,goes fast, saves me money
