can't enter total, business, commuting 7 personal miles. during error check it was hard to fix. also when fixed it increased my taxes due by almost $200.00.
when correcting an error, the program would not let me make changes on the form. It was something that I had claimed that was disallowed. The form was already correct, as was the step by step, but the error kept popping up. I had to ignore it and continue. The program printed the form with all zeros on it.
What's not so great: business milage glitch in employee expenses & error correct problems

TT should have a screen that tells you to eject the disc BEFORE you attempt to e-file; otherwise, your e-file will fail. Also updates to forms are confusing: first it showed no updates then when I attempted to file it showed there were updated forms; when I tried to download them, I only got some and not others (?). This should all be easier!
What's great about it: Entering info is easy
What's not so great: Updates are confusing to download and e-filing State form didn't work

I have used Turbo Tax (TT) to file my taxes since the late 90s. I find it easy to use with good tutorial support.
I find the fees charged to pay owed taxes by credit card to be extremely high (sort of salt on a bad wound). In fact, in many cases depending on how much you owe, the fees cancel out any rewards you would normally get back for using your credit card. TT needs to work to adjust this or offer TT Visa w/free filing rewards and tax payment credits.
What's great about it: guide through all tax categories
What's not so great: time for software to load - fees charged for credit card transactions

I like the logic and flow. I feel confident i have maxed out my deductions/credits. Excellent software.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: When I re-launch TT sometimes it is hard to get back to the exact point where I left my return when i last closed out.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I've been using TurboTax for over 15 years. It's easy to use; it walks you through all parts of your return. The application looks the same from year to year which aids in ease of use. I like that it can find my tax return from previous years and bring the pertinent information form that return to this one - that means not having to enter the same information every year. I'd recommend TurboTax and expect to use it as long at it's available
What's great about it: Interview style; inline help; ease of updating the application; ability to transfer info from previous returns;
What's not so great: cost of state e-file (my state allows free e-file),

I appreciate how this product has improved over the years. I have been a loyal user for many years, back to the days when it was on a floppy disc.
What's great about it: Easy, Intuitive, Straighforward
What's not so great: No break for multiple states and addiditonal charges for e-filing for state returns

As a long time user going back to Parson's Tax return, I am pleased with the efficiency of Turbotax. I am displeased that as I was about to print my returns I received a message that Turbotax was unusable and that I would have to reinstall it. This makes me very nervous.
What's great about it: Very efficient
What's not so great: Reinstall required for unknown reason
