I am extrememly disappointed that the govt makes it near impossible to obtain tax information booklets and forms. I know they are available online but why can't they be available at the PO like before?
Given the alternative TurboTax is a very good resource to us.
My ONLY displeasure is I just don't like paying for something that I used to could do on my own for free.

TurboTax allows me to feel that I have completely addressed all the areas needed in a tax return via a relatively quick process.
What's great about it: Allowed a quick, focused & thorough review of tax preparation steps
What's not so great: no dislikes

I have used Turbo Tax for more then 10 years. Prior to that, I used several competing products.
Turbo Tax, by far is the best.

Frustrating

Could not find a prompt for 1099-R; much difficulty finding how to enter IRA-to-Roth conversion. Caused long delays.
What's great about it: Got job done.
What's not so great: Lots of glitches, very slow, poor explanations, help difficult

Fast Tax Prep.

Save me a lot of time on the details on the complicated IRS rules, regulations, exceptions and exemptions. I can finish my tax returns, both Federal & State, in seeral hours, proiding that all my info. and data are readily available.
What's great about it: good and efficient
What's not so great: nothing bad encountered yet.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Same old, and that is good

Like the dreaded colonoscopy, it's always about the prep, but so relieved when its over. Can't avoid the process, but TurboTax gets you there but with certainly less duress. Ah, democracy and our debt to the society we live in. So much for the new flat screen TV for this year.
What's great about it: familiar and efficient
What's not so great: No fault of TurboTax, but I'll never have those hours back again.
