Love Turbo Tax!!

We had a CPA in the family and she did our taxes until 2007 when she passed away. I decided to try it on my own with Turbo Tax and I can't believe how simple it was! I compared our taxes line by line from the previous year and everything worked out great. We have been using Turbo Tax ever since.
Turbo Tax took the fear and mystery out of taxes and I learned a lot about how to maximize our deductions.

Also it would be helpful to review the actual filing status during the filling .
What's not so great: Had to buy Adobe PDF. Could not rev state tax without it

Helps with an unpleasent yearly activity

It is a useful tool. It has different levels for different complexities of tax returns.
I like it and I recommend it unless you have a super easy return with no deductions.
You also need to be computer literate to use this software. It is not as easy to go back to look for something or correct something. after you complete it.

What's great about it: Step by step questions make a difficult tax easir than it could be otherwise
What's not so great: Expensive to buy extra products i.e. a second state tax, and to file it.

Inspires confidence, but still some insects

TT knows I don't live in NYC, Yonkers, Bronx, etc. Why does it ask me in 4 different ways to re-confirm that? Beyond some of these unnecessary, time-taking questions, I continue to feel confident in the product. I had to answer 3 or 4 different times, in different ways, that, no, I don't live in Yonkers, was not a Yonkers part-year resident, had no income sources in Yonkers and had no part-year, partially taxable income sources from Yonkers (or some such). Aarrgghh. The only other issue is the lack of program control when one hits the "back" button to review something. I wish it would take me back only ONE step instead of back to the beginning of the item sometimes. I consider this a "bug," although the wizards would probably tell me it's necessary in the programming logic for some reason.
What's great about it: Thorough, obviously; guaranteed accuracy of calculations
What's not so great: Too many unnecessary questions, and some questions could be avoided altogether if TT were even more thorough.
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I WILL CONTINUE TO USE THIS PRODUCT. IT WAS A GREAT HELP IN FILING MY FEDERAL INCOMETAX.
What's great about it: Did a great job. CAlled for assistance and the personal call I received helped me a great deal.
What's not so great: None
