Didn't Waste $

I've wasted $ with a so-called "tax professional" at the kiosk or the strip mall - you know them - and Turbo Tax is better and cheaper. No waiting, a fraction of the tax prep cost, and just as thorough in a simple, user-friendly format.
What's great about it: Easy; Quick; Well-Supported
What's not so great: None

Have Used TurboTax for Years!

Overall, I've been very pleased with the ease of using TurboTax for several years. Only one criticism...
I had to enter info from 1099-Bs this year for the first time. What I needed to claim wasn't worth the extra $30 for Premium. This section was difficult to understand, and for one 1099-B with both short-term and long-term gains, I'm not sure the data was 100% accurate on my return. Some long-term gains may have been submitted as short-term.
What's great about it: 99% of the workflow is very easy to understand.
What's not so great: 1099-B Section was difficult to understand.

What's great about it: Love the Easy Guides, checks for updates everytime I open my return. Option to view the forms.

TurboTax is easy to use, easy to understand, and makes filing a snap. Handles life events and changes in status easily. Overall it makes an unsavory task much better.

Updater Very Slow... Hung-up several times

Buy early... price gets prohibitive if you wait to the last minute. I helped a widow that found this out the hard way with the online version.
What's great about it: Overall good product... using for years
What's not so great: Has gotten expensive... too much "forced" advertising.
