Generally it is a easy experience to create my tax filings. Some things such as additional information to try to reduce my state penalty for not paying enough estimated taxes I had to bypass to gather the data,. Then I could not get back to it. This happens about a number of things. What about the efiling pin. Do we have to get it yearly?
What's great about it: Carryover of info from previous year and comparison with previous year. The step input of data is helpful.
What's not so great: Some things flit by and I cannot get back to them.

did not like hidden cost on state return, and when looking up info on changes could not find what was no longer allowed only what I could claim. was trying to find out about home improvement info, but only found what was allowed. I would like to have seen a section on old vs new tax detuctions.

I love the step by step on the turbo tax software. The software ask questions that most people would not even think about.

I HAVE USED TURBOTAX FOR MANY YEARS. THIS YEAR IT WAS VERY SLOW, COULD NOT SELECT INFORMATION WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE TURBO TAX STEPS. SCREEN WENT BLANK EVERYTIME I USED THE PROGRAM. PLAN ON LOOKING AT OTHER PROGRAMS NEXT YEAR.
What's great about it: DID THE RETURN EASILY
What's not so great: SCREEN KEPT GOING BLANK

Growing fees causing me to consider vendor change

I have used this product for probably 8-10 years, filing all of my family's returns with it. But the excessive growth in state return and electronic filing fees is getting outrageous. I will consider other vendors next year for the first time since first using TurboTax.
What's great about it: Mostly a superior product.
What's not so great: (1) Fees now outrageous. (2) Explanation of errors not always clear.

Great way to handle your tax return

By far the easiest way to deal with your income tax return. Every item is brought to your attention to ensure accuracy. Software needs to include more in-depth explanation of some of the more complicated tax inputs.
What's great about it: Excellent step by step process
What's not so great: Needs better explanation of some complicated inputs
