Since I have used your service for the last few years, it takes information from the previous year and all I have to do is update it. It is very convenient.
What's great about it: Simple and Quick
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo tax is the way to go!
What's great about it: easy to use, quick, walks you through the process and a lot cheaper than a tax preparer!
What's not so great: I don't understand all the tax laws and if you had to itemize your taxes doing it yourself could be challenging.

TurboTax 2013

After I got used to NOT having the paper "workbook" that I had used when I first started doing my taxes, this was well orchestrated as to input of information and cue the individual preparing the taxes. I will likely use TurboTax until my returns get too involved. That should be for quite some time. Thank you for putting together such a useful tool.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: difficulty with working out of state vs.company headquarters out of state

Easy to use, but.....

Did everything correctly, but it would come up as failed every time I tried to e-file it, even after following the directions as to what to do if it didn't go through. And I paid to file the state taxes, so have to figure out how to get my money back for that!
What's great about it: Very easy to use and walked you step by step thru everthing
What's not so great: I couldn't e-file and had to mail it

Have Used This Product Forever

Have used this product for years and years. Never had a real problem. I've used it for simple tax returns and complex tax returns. Much less expensive than hiring an accountant to do them. More expensive than downloading forms, but worth it because Turbo Tax figures out which forms you need and populates them properly.
What's great about it: Easy, fast compilation of both federal and state taxes; accurate
What's not so great: Sometimes a little difficult to navigate to specific forms because there is so much information

Some problems

I'm going to concentrate on what TurboTax should improve. First, some numbers don't get transferred. I have to open last year's taxes, look them up, and transfer them manually. The most egregious case is that of the PINs for the Illinois tax e-filing.
In correcting errors, TurboTax insists on filling in blanks that don't relate to the actual transaction. It's hard to figure out what has to be done.
It's hard to put in your own wishes for the amount of estimated tax to be paid. TurboTax gives an estimate, but if I want to round it off differently than the options provided, it doesn't get accepted without a lot of fooling around. I filled out the desired numbers in the worksheet, went back to EasyStep, told it I didn't want to work on the Estimated Taxes, and found that the vouchers that had been there before the return to EasyStep had now vanished.
What's great about it: Gets to all the forms, mostly. And changes propagate quickly. Saves enormous amounts of work
What's not so great: Some numbers don't transfer, some errors are irrelevant
