A few of my confiscated dollars returned.

Used the deluxe federal and state program and as always guided me through the process of tax filing without little thought from myself as to what was needed to file. Intuitive and simple instructions and suggestions to get the maximum legal return of my overpaid tax dollars.
What's great about it: TurboTax Delux worked as advertised. Was easy to follow, directed me to tax saving tips and filling less painful.
What's not so great: None with the program, just soory had to spend so much time to retrieve a little of my money from the tax man.

An old friend

I can not recall the first time I used TurboTax. I do know that it has been close to twenty years. Each new version of TurboTax seems to be more efficient and comprehensive collecting and recording data in the proper location.
In the early years it was advisable to closely review the output of the application - my cautious nature. I suppose that I should really spend more time reviewing the finished product than I do - - - TurboTax tells me that it has checked my return. Should I check it too? ;-)
Prior to TurboTax I retained the services of a CPA to handle my returns. I have never looked back - and the individual retired long ago.

What's great about it: Continuing update to process. Guided path works well - option to enter data on your own if you choose, or need to.
What's not so great: Awkward going back to a completed section and revising entered data.

two times the process hung up. I needed to stuff the current program file into the trash in order to reinstall the program, including all the update downloading, and then ALL OVER AGAIN enter all the necessary data, which required hours. This was VERY FRUSTRATING, TIME IS MONEY, A PERSON'S LIFE IS ONLY SO LONG, THE TAX DEADLINE IS LOOMING, ETC.

Horrible 2013 Turbo Tax Experience

I've filed our taxes using Turbo Tax for the past 5 years. This year much difficulty signing in to account. Once in account only purchase data reflected. Unable to locate/access previous years Tax Returns on Turbo Tax website. Prior to this year I have been extremely satisfied. However, this year has been most frustrating and disappointing. I intended to disregard difficulties experienced until I paid for the state e-file. When doing so it recognized I had an account but wouldn't let me access it. At this point I feel disgusted with the difficulties experienced this year. Will consider other means of filing our taxes next year.
What's great about it: Personnel assisting were very nice & knowledgeable
What's not so great: Unable to locate account containing our data

TurboTax is WONDERFUL! I've used it for years and it helped me get a BIG refund for 2013!! I recommend it HIGHLY!!

I feel comfortable using TurboTax as I have prepared my taxes this way for several years. I like the easy instructions and have confidence in the software -- that all information and calculations are up-to-date.
