Colorado State issues

Has a few hiccup's. Transfer files from previous years I did not need and was not very helpful with the CO state return with the Pera retirement exclusions and non taxable Pera contributions from previous years. Left me lost and searching for what amounts needed to be inserted. The Help site did not help either.
What's great about it: Most everything is easy to follow
What's not so great: Need's help with Pera exclusions, no help in knowing what amounts to enter.

The best tax software I've tried

I have used TurboTax for several years. It seems to be the best software around. It took some digging to find specific information, such as if secondary education expenses can be entered - it wasn't clear, so I ended up Googling it. There were a couple of other instances where I spent some time looking for information, and ended up on the Internet. I might have done better with the small business version, but the extra cost didn't seem justified since I don't have an actual business.
What's great about it: Laid out logically, convenient e-filing
What's not so great: Can be hard to find information
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

easy to file

TurboTax is the easiest software to use to file your taxes. It does most of the work for you, all you have to do is have your documents ready to enter the numbers.
What's great about it: easy forms to fill in

AS I stated above, I was at the point of almost pulling out what hair I have left trying to get thru the murky waters of the complexities of Limited Partnership forms. Perhaps it might be the fault of the issuer(s), but I had the same stocks last year and did not experience such agony .Maybe I need the Premier version, but DeLuxe has worked just fine in the past.
What's great about it: Nice guide interface.
What's not so great: Could have4 been more instructive with complex AMT and Limitations in K-1 forms

I Heart TurboTax

I have used turboTax for quite a few years now and always return each year. The features I like most about TurboTax is that it is a very intuitive program (I do not find myself second-guessing what something means or what I need to do next), and I love how you do not have to be a tax accountant to understand the vernacular used. I'll be back next year!

I've had to pay and I've gotten refunds, either way TurboTax is the way to go...

Great program, don't think we should have to pay for state e file. Should at least get one state e file for free if not 2.

Tax Time

Would like to see an option of why they tell you this or that is is the wrong way to go rather than have to go to the forms and figure it out myself or just believe Intuit always is right. Not sure I do.
