Almost Easy

Turbo Tax is an efficient, easy to use product that is good for those that have never filed a return (or itemized) as well as for those that have used the program for many years. We have used this program since 2005 and never had an audit. Great success thus far. The 2013 version was quite a bit different for us with our various retirement, disability and writing (self employment) incomes but it worked well overall.
What's great about it: Very detailed instructions for difficult worksheet on itemizations.
What's not so great: Too many instructions at the beginning for entry of personal information.

It would be very helpful to be able to search for the name of the charity (from the list that is imported from the previous year's tax file) for which you made a contribution.
What's great about it: TurboTax is very easy to use
What's not so great: Charitable deductions could be improved

had to load on to old computer in order to have it find files from previous years. Did not reconice files save to a usb memory stick.
What's great about it: easy if you use the guide
What's not so great: did not find last years files from pdf files

I like the way turbo tax walks you through the filing process. I was hoping I didn't have to print and mail any forms, but I did - I had to print and mail a state voucher.
What's great about it: the way turbo tax walks you through filing taxes
What's not so great: i had to go online to get charitable donation values for some items such as paint

We've used TurboTax to file our taxes for the past few years. It's worked well for us and it helps streamline the process. One thing that I wish it did have was a way to mark a section to review it later, that way it could be used to come back to a section that asked for a form that you didn't realize you had tucked away elsewhere.
What's great about it: easy guides
What's not so great: difficult to get back to sections that needed more information
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
