On Time Again

I loaded TurboTax Deluxe 2013 from CD. After updating there were problems with Federal forms and CT state return.
Customer support loaded downloads in my web account and the problems were solved. I will not use CD versions in the future.

What's great about it: Easy to use, comparison with former tax returns, great customer service.
What's not so great: Difficulties with updates.

Personal Info transfer and Tax Witholding Summary

1. Procedure of Transfer of previous year Personal Info was not clear until a FAQ helped. Previuos years this was automatic and never a problem.
2. Taxes Paid should display show the origin of taxes withhold by listing the 1099-R entries.

E-file Status

I had to open turbo tax back up and check my status to find out that it was accepted. This was not a problem. I've just been left wondering when I would get the e-mail. Since the tax deadline is getting close, I figured I'd better do some checking.
What's great about it: Easy to do.
What's not so great: Did not recieve my federal form is accepted e-mail.

Mostly good

My only complaint is that the sidebar is hard to click and drag to page down or up on the Mac version, and is very frustrating when you have to move up or down a form. Otherwise, excellent program.

Need More Help

I did not find a place for my home insurance deduction. Is there one? Or is it not deductible anymore?
I am retired, and manage my own retirement investments. Because of this, I purchase Books, Daily Financial Newspapers, and I subscribe to many online investing companies. The fees for all of these services should be deductible. I did not find a place to put them. Is it there or not? if so, where?

I get older every day. If Turbo Tax cannot be more explicit, for me, in the future, I may have to Make a change.

Good, but not Mac friendly

I was done with my taxes...they took a long time, but I felt confident they were accurate. I went to e-file and could not. The system stated I needed to download an update. So I did and I did and I did about 10 times. Still I could not e-file.
I decided to try a different computer platform and easily e-filed. However, this would not have been ok if I didn't have access to another computer. YIKES!
What's great about it: I like the ease of turbo tax
What's not so great: I could not e-file from my Mac
