Extremely easy to use

The Turbo Tax process is so clearly explained and the process is so well guided that you wonder if you really did prepare a return. It is just too easy!
What's great about it: Step by step guidance takes a lot of uncertainty out of the process of preparing your own tax return
What's not so great: There seems to be no alternative offered for hard-copy filing of your state return if you e-file your federal return

Love Turbo Tax

Would like to have had access to the " State and Local Income Tax Refund Worksheet" to see why even though Turbo Tax did it for me.
The State and Local Taxes on Schedule A needs to be enhanced to make it more user friendly. We missed it in 2011 and almost did again in 2013.
Other than that, we love Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy to enter data, all caculations done for you, all forms filled out correctly.
What's not so great: Our state refund wasn't taxable but it was difficult to find out why it wouldn't be.

Simple and quick

I have used Turbo Tax for several years, it is helpful to have the past history to preload forms. The step-by-step makes it easy to go through and not forget anything. I also use the forms version to go back and update.

I have used Turbo Tax for years now and will never go back. Always easy to use, accurate, and easy to file, etc. Have recommended Turbo Tax to several of my friends and family. Totally satisfied with this product.

Gov't Employees Form CSA 1099R Seems to be ignored

Be careful if you are a retired Federal Gov't employee as the Form CSA 1099R is not treated especially as to the taxable amount, box 2a, in the Statement of Annuity Paid issued by the Office of Personnel Management Retirement Operations, at least as far as I could determine. This increases substantially the concern that a proper return is filed and the calculations are the appropriate ones for the retired federal employee. Moreover, some concern as to whether the state return as filed is appropriate since the e-filed copy of the return is in a compacted format and it is not identical to the written version filed by mail.
What's not so great: Little if any treatment of Form CSA 1099R, box2a, etc.
