Got it done!

Turbo is great!!! It allows you to do your own taxes....with a little help from my Turbo friends. It makes the job of doing our taxes a lot easier...wouldn't be able to do it by ourselves without Turbo Tax. Thanks!
What's great about it: Turbo took me through all my "stuff" so I could get my taxes done by myself
What's not so great: I just wish there was a flat tax so I didn't have to go through this every year

Very good, but needs one long-standing fix

For years, TurboTax has refused to install on any Windows machine that doesn't contain two standard fonts.This a major hassle and the company should license and include the TrueType fonts needed for it to operate. No other major software company has this fault. And it has gone unaddressed for such a long time.
What's great about it: Easy to use, accurate, comprehensive
What's not so great: Won't install on a Windows machine missing key fonts
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I always love doing taxes this way - so much easier.
What's great about it: This year you made it a snap to add the property tax information on the second home.
What's not so great: Some questions on business use of home are confusing: seems same questions asked elsewhere so duplicated?

Good Program

First time ever filing with a tax program, why did I pay CPA's for so many years? This cost a third as much as they do.
What's great about it: Everything is easy to do.
What's not so great: None I can see.

TurboTax Delux works great.

Filling out the forms was a piece of cake. The only problem was at the end where I got a little confused when it was time to actually file the form. A few more instructions as to what steps are next will help.
What's great about it: Easy to fill out.
What's not so great: Got confused at the end.

Let me start by saying that I really, really like the TurboTax software! I've been using it for many years and there is none better in my opinion. I get the deluxe version every year and am very pleased with it. The only snag I hit this year was on the initial loading of the disk. It seemed to start, then just went blank!?!? I have windows 7 and I had to do a "compatibility" load in xp. Not sure why??? This is the same computer I have used for the past 2-3 years and have not had this problem before. Maybe it's just a glitch on my computer, since it is aging. As for the State software, it really bugs me that I have to manually go into it and make my military retirement "non-taxable" for the state. Seems to me that you folks should know this and shud incorporate this into the State software. I think I remember this from last year as well. If I'm doing something wrong I can't figure out what it is. But, overall, as I said earlier, I am extremely pleased with the TurboTax software package.
What's great about it: Ease of use, speed, accuracy, look-ups, easy navigation.
What's not so great: Initial disk load and State software.

Always Easy

Using TT has been easy for this non-accountant to use for many years. This year there were many more complications (since I do other family members as well), but everything I needed was walked thorough in easy to follow ways by the TT software. I always like the past year references and information capture-this also makes everything easy.
What's great about it: Everything I need is covered. Easy to find what is unfamiliar.
What's not so great: Nothing
Pros: I bought or sold investments
