Easy, Complete, Fast

The step through feature made it very easy to follow. The download feature from brokers saved a lot of time on entering trades and the carry forward from last years filing was a great time saver and reminder of what had to be entered.
What's great about it: The auto fill features saved a lot of time and were accurate.
What's not so great: Did not like dealing with promo on audit info when e-filing.

Excellent software! I have been using TurboTax for years. I will never pay an accountant to do my taxes again!
What's great about it: TurboTax is user friendly. If you can read, you can do your taxes using TurboTax!
What's not so great: Nothing negative to report about TurboTax.

Amazingly easy for first time user!

Overall, very Happy with Turbo Tax especially with being a first time user. I had several questions(written instructions for Navigating your Web site would help & prevent long wait phone call holds) of which William and Creshone answered professionally and efficiently.
The cost of downloading extra states and efiling should be made public on the Turbotax Deluxe Package.
I filed my own and my son's, felt the state Efing charge was(unexpectedly) pricey. I had to pay for South Carolina(2 times),Georgia and California. Would be great if you offer a discount in bulk(also would cut down fraud of people who use other people's computers too!)

What's not so great: Overseas operators difficult to understand, a bit expensive for efling states

I really like TurboTax, even since I was introduced to it several years ago. Very simple to use, the program explains everything to you that you need to know and does all the math for you.
What's great about it: speedy and idiot proof
What's not so great: it's not free

Same-gender married filing jointly copy prior data

While I can appreciate that the same-gender married filing joint option for the federal return is fairly new, it is cumbersome to have to import prior year data from only one return and re-key all the data for your spouse. It makes the process prone to error - especially to remember trickier things like carryover losses and such from that spouse's prior return. I expected more from what is pretty sophisticated software.
Other than this one disappointment the software is its usual reliable and user friendly self.
What's great about it: Straight forward
What's not so great: Software should be smart enough to be able to roll two individual returns from a prior year into one new joint return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
