The update process would work better if one could execute an update as an Admin while logged on as a User. I'm not sure whether that is a Windows 7 security option or something that needs programming in TurboTax.
All-in-all, it was a low stress operation.
What's great about it: Flows well. Confidance that all the bases are covered.
What's not so great: Update process fails as a User. It requires Admin access which means switching back and forth and hoping.

Fast... Simple... Great Guide... but little pricey

Great software and simple easy to use. I always worry about missing something or forgetting something.
Con: The state filing fee is a little steep... would have rather had it added to the cost of the software... since they add it to the end... I feel like I am getting a little gyped...since I did all the work to add the info... filing the federal return is free or included.
What's great about it: guided... fast... simple
What's not so great: software is good... but additional fees for state filing are a little steep
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Better than using a tax preparer. Allows you to prepare your return in your own time and you are able to leave and return to where you left.
What's great about it: No guesswork. Step-by-step procedure.
What's not so great: None yet.

Usually easy

Turbo Tax is amazingly easy to use, provided you haven't got complex situations. This year I had some stock options that I exercised, and the Deluxe edition was decidedly unfriendly for this situation. This situation is so rare though that I didn't want to upgrade, and found that Deluxe did weird things with what it would let me enter.
In the end I had to dig into the forms underneath to correct the number of shares (bug report??) and I whipped out a year of tax classes to understand it. That wasn't really cool.
Thank goodness we don't have state taxes here.
What's great about it: I like being lead through common situations
What's not so great: The Deluxe edition has limitations (especially if you don't want to upgrade to Premiere)

I am on auto delivery, which is nice, but I always see the product for much less in other stores. I have used it for years, so I don't want to change. It does simplify the process.
Downloads from banks and financial institutions are a bit difficult to set up.

Helped File Quickly!

Turbo Tax needs to be able to answer questions while tax payers are preparing their tax return. See question above.
What's great about it: Knowledgeable about Tax Law.
What's not so great: Unable to get answers. i.e .How can I get a tax refund from my previous tax years when I paid taxes. I loss $ this year
