worst ever

hung up for hours on inability to override a $1 dollar entry on a form K-1 to e-file.. of course if I had just printed and filed the old fashioned way, it would likely have no choice but allow me to go ahead. and for this I paid an extra fee for state e-file? must have been designed by a govt technocrat.
What's not so great: does not allow override of K-1 entries when filing

I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 5 years and recommend it to everyone.
What's great about it: Easy to read, understand, and use
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax gets better every year. I've been using TurboTax since it was first offered. The ability to enter data quickly & correctly is excellent. Jumping around between the sections is easy.

Poor eFile experience!!

Finished the taxes for myself, my mother and my son. Biggest problem was trying to eFile. System kept saying it needed updates. downloaded updates and it still gave errors. Highly frustrating especially after paying for all of the efiling with my credit card. Finally was able to close the program. Re-Open it and get the efiles done.
Have used Turbotax for over 20 years, back in the DOS days. This was probably the most frustrating year. Couple that with $25 filing fees.
What's great about it: Easy to fill out information
What's not so great: Very poor eFile. Could not get validation.

Did a Good Job But.....

Overall a good effort. Love the ease of adding the state tax returns. Just wish that the interview would have asked me about the Form 4835 expenses. I had to put them in directly onto the form.
What's great about it: interview method was great - walked me thru all areas involved
What's not so great: interview didn't ask me about Form 4835 expenses

I want the California Loss Carry Over to be automatically transfered over into the Federal return...Turbo tax should have this info. Would like to see this next year.

Couldn't file electronically - what a bummer!

I have used Turbo Tax for over 15 years and never had a problem, but his year I get all the way to the end and when I try to file electronically, I get a message that there is software update I need to download and install before I can file electronically. So I go and get the update, install it, but still am not able to file electronically. I tried to repeat the software update at least 10 times, but it just wouldn't work. This is not good Turbo Tax!!! I rely on you to work for me. Next year I'll seriously switching to a Turbo Tax competitor!!!
What's great about it: The easy way TT walks you through the filing process
What's not so great: Not being able to file either state or federal electronically.
