I wished I used this tool last year. The person who did my taxes last year, did not put my student loans interest or charitable deductions for my 2012 tax returns. I had to pay the IRS over $ 400.00.
What's great about it: Easy and thorough

Every section is clear and concise and very easy to input required information.
The 800 help line was great! Whitney helped me out tremendously with the payment of Intuit Turbo Tax fees.
Thank you again for making a dreaded job (filing taxes) less painful!

What's great about it: walk through method

First Time Experience

Generally, I must say that for the first time venturing into this specialized territory by myself, my experience was great!
I am very sure that the next time will be a breeze!
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and you'll saved me some good money! And, I learnt a lot in the process!
Please, keep up the good work of removing the fear in Self Tax Preparation.
What's great about it: It was very simple and helpful than I expected.
What's not so great: Perhaps, due to my inexperience, I spent a long time on the Form 5405. It was a little tough.

Also, the name at the head of each page on the CA forms came out all stretched out so that it was incomplete. Hope the rest of calculations were more reliable.
What's great about it: normally transfers all info, asks question, inspires confidence
What's not so great: said forms under construction after 4/8 update. would not generate ca est tax for requested amt (2013 act tax).
Pros: I bought or sold investments

The explanations for errors were too difficult to understand. Referring to form numbers is not helpful. The links to help screens should be built into the program...having to type in questions and guess if you worded it correctly is time consuming.
What's great about it: inexpensive
What's not so great: difficult to navigate

Pro and Con listed above. Additionally getting help was difficult.
What's great about it: The items to be addressed were well presented
What's not so great: When I wanted to go back to some issue, I was sometimes thwarted, not able to just do what I wanted easily.
