East To Use

I like using turbo tax. I have had a hard time this year due to illness diagnosis and didn't feel up to doing taxes. Turbo tax made it easy for me to complete.
What's great about it: Quick to understand
What's not so great: unable to electronic file GA state tax
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

easy to follow directions

Turbo tax for 2013 directions were easy to follow, good layout of screen data.
would like to see more side by side comparisions with last year tax files - I had to several times open up my Turbo Tax 2012 data file to see what figures were used on that return. When TT asked for carry over figures I had to go schearch them out. otherwise good product once again.

Let's You Win at IRS Croquet

Is really helpful at going through the hoops and finding out if you have to do something. But hard to print just a work sheet. Very rigid; couldn't you put a "print Page tab in? Married filing separately, I need to see two returns at the same ime and judge the impact of an entry on both returns. Can not do that easily,
What's great about it: Interview ferreting out what you need to do.
What's not so great: Hard to REVIEW interview without reanswering many quations. Can't there be a review interview mode?

Great...but...

I have been buying the TT hard disc for several years. I am interested in converting to an on-line account. the on-line account will not upload from my hard drive. So i have to start all over and not have the benefit of transferring previous year data, carryovers etc...
Simple investment transactions for reporting purposes should be included in the Deluxe. Fidelity and other investment houses do all the work at the time of sale. TT deluxe should be adequate.

What's great about it: Importing Investment data; importing last years detail
What's not so great: Cannot convert easily to an on-line account from the Purchased Disc.

Liked ability to review and edit "on the fly". The documentation gives me confidence that information is up to date.
What's great about it: Good documentation easy to navigate and review

Consistently solid product

Have relied on Turbo Tax for over 10 years. Would be lost without it and Quicken. Only complaint is that I seem to always have to upgrade Quicken every other year.... wondering why that is since nothing changes that much in my filing habits.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: nothing comes to mind
