Awesome to use!

Wonderful product. Will definitely use again next year!
What's great about it: Very cool way to determine value of donated goods! Touched on most everything I could deduct!
What's not so great: Didn't list student loan interest, but the search feature was very effective.

Finally got a refund!

I have used Turbo Tax for about 5 years and am completely happy with it. I like to way it walks you through every possible step and double checks for errors.

What's great about it: Software is very easy to use.
What's not so great: n/a
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Finished Finally

The download from Fidelity investments was incomplete. Fidelity tells me this is a problem within Turbo Tax. I had a difficult time finding where to complete the download without doing an override. Overrides make it impossible to E-file.
What's great about it: Nice to get tax done so reasonably.
What's not so great: Very difficult at times to find where to make the changes necessary.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Help for the Harried

I have been using this product for fifteen years and loving it. I have a small enough income that my returns are pretty easy but once in awhile I have run into problems that are unique to me. This year I found it almost impossible to speak to a person for help.
What's great about it: I couldn't do it alone.
What's not so great: One to one help not as easy to find.

State and local taxes on Schedule A: I didn't want to take deduction for Income tax but TurboTax didn't give me alternate General Sales tax deduction. Didn't catch this in the review either.
TurboTax should give you the choice of which tax return to use your free state efile on instead of forcing you to use it on the first tax return completed.
What's great about it: Generally clear instructions
What's not so great: Wants to force you to use your free state efile on the first return completed

I was stopped dead in my tracks a couple of times when entering my retirement pay. I kept checking the box saying I took regular payments and it kept changing it to the other choice. I also had problems in the entry of dividends because it had a blank entry and kept wanting me to fill in a name. I finally posed the question and found a work around by entering a dividend for $0 from one of my payers. The answer to the first problem was that it actually referred to IRA distributions and I could ignore it. This didn't make me real confident about the who program. I was thankful that I could ask questions and get answers pretty fast.
What's great about it: Transfers of last years returns, step by step leading through each category.
What's not so great: Very confusing in the Retirement pay area and IRAs. Also in the dividends entries.

Very tedious. Forms not available as were needed orprmised. Checked for you to e-mail me when they were available. Never heard anything!!!!! Regret the day I spent the money to purchase this.

Saves time and effort versus doing it "by hand".
Listing donated items is cumbersome.
What's great about it: Fast, Thurough
What's not so great: No reminders to save work. Difficult to print all work documents
