ON THE DONATED PROPERTY ONCE U PUT THE DONEE ADDRSS AN HIT ENTER AN AFTER U ENTER ALL THE INFO TO THAT DONEE U CAN NOT GO BACK TO EDIT THE NAME OR ADDRESS ON SAID DONEE WITH OUT REDOING IT AS A NEW ONE THEN DELETEING THE INVALIDED ONE..
What's great about it: IT WAS EASY TO FOLLOW AN ADD OR EDIT THINGS
What's not so great: COULD NOT CHANGE AN ADDRESS ON A DONEE ORGANIZATION

Expensive

overall it was straight forward and easy to follow
What's great about it: ability to continue at various times - not having to the entire return at one time
What's not so great: some of the "help"info was a bit confusing - but did ask question and got most of the answers
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

It's Gets Better Each Year

I have used Turbo Tax and its predecessor since 1993. Each year signifcant improvements are made to make the process less painful.
In the past, I commented on the ability to defer the filing of 4th quarter Estimated Tax payments to the end of January (Fed) and mid-February for NJ State. The TT process seemed a bit clumsy and did not handle the filing well. I didn't have to do it this year so I don't know if the process has been updated. Hopefully it has as I will be doing Est Taxes this year.
Also, modify the filing returns cover page to list all of the named forms that should be included in the envelope. In other words, list the name of each piece of paper in the return.
What's great about it: Improvements are made each year.

2013 Turbo Tax

Very easy to use but would like more links to explanations, especially on medical insurance premiums
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: medical insurance and early IRA withdrawal confusing, auto registration didn't come up automatically

I appreciate being led step by step through the process. It is nerve racking to say the least. The attention to detail is very impressive also. I keep coming back every year. What more can I say?!

Great program, except....

Daddy used to say ...just like a cow giving a good bucket of milk and then kicking it over. TurboTax is absolutely fabulous throughout the entire filing process. The questions it asks, the explanations it gives, the accessibility of online help, the checking and double-checking and the e-file options are all easy to understand and easy to follow. The "bucket-kicking-over" part comes when it is time to save your returns. I go through at least 2 laptops a year, sometimes more. I work overseas in war zones and travel extensively. My laptops get lost, stolen or destroyed, and it would be such an outstanding advantage... the icing on the cake... to be able to save the information to a personalized vault on the TurboTax servers, so last year's tax information would always be available when doing this year's taxes, regardless of which version of TurboTax software you purchased - CD, download or online.
What's great about it: Great explanations, checking and double-checking. Simple 1-2-3 walkthrough.
What's not so great: Cannot save to online TurboTax vault for convenient safekeeping.
