Mostly OK

Used up a lot of time getting through the mineral right royalty and rental section. This needs tweeking.
What's great about it: Most entries easy to use
What's not so great: Does not support mineral rights leases, etc. very well

I always dreaded making out my taxes until turbo tax. Now I just gather my info, plug it in where needed and turbo tax figures out the rest. My return is e filed, my refund is deposited directly into my bank. Could it get any simpler. Using this program is a no brainer. I love it!!!!!!
What's great about it: This program makes filing my taxes so easy..
What's not so great: Nothing

one problem

Everything was fine, but when I got to transmitting the efile, I got an error that I first had to do an update. I did the update but then got the same error for three times. I changed to mailing the returns, but I had already paid for efiling the state return, so I tried it again the next day, and the transmisssion went through. It worked in the end but gave me some anxiety getting it done.
What's great about it: fast and easy
What's not so great: efile caused a problem

Turbotax Deluxe 2013 Final Review

I've used TurboTax for more than 10 years and believe you have the best product on the market.
I've welcomed numerous improvements each year.
I have a couple recommendations that would simplify my use of the product.
1. Provide more detailed items in the Topic List. This would enhance the ability to return to a specific spot when preparing returns in multiple sessions.
2. Provide PayPal as an additional method of payment, both for the Advantage Plan purchases and any payments due for state tax filings.
I've welcomed numerous improvements each year.

What's great about it: Smooth progression using 'Easy Steps'. Simplified filing procedures
What's not so great: Topic List not detailed enough. More detail would enable returning to specific spot when working in multiple sessions.

Completed forms and areas I hadn't anticipated

Excellent step by step progression through the whole process.
What's great about it: Completed computations and forms
What's not so great: Allowed me to miss an area I later recovered
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Can't find old TurboTax forms

Very disappointed TurboTax does not bring our records together.
What's great about it: Did our taxes
What's not so great: Didn't bring our old records (2009 to 2012 TurboTax forms from previous TurboTax CDs in to join our 2013 taxes

Quiestions

There were some new areas from last year that cleared up some of my uncertainty from last year's. However, the questions about the personal property taxes and the cars gave me pause in knowing how to answer the questions.
What's great about it: The questions made sure we covered everything
What's not so great: Some of the questions could have been clearer

Sometimes frustrating

Medicare payments reported on RRB-1099R forms not calculated properly. Only 1 was picked up, and could not correct error to report both. From the help screens, others had the same problem. Not all data was retained when we went back to review data (little circles). Generally though a good product.
What's great about it: Generally a good product
What's not so great: Harder to navigate since we started using in 2000.
