Always helpfull with clear guidance, instructions

I have been using Turbo Tax for 5 years or more and ALWAYS find it clear and easy. I like the ability to go back and correct entries at any time (before filing). I inherited a number of investments this last year and was dreading the complications, but Turbo Tax walked me through it, the only issue I had was that my 1099-B had 3 investments that listed "unknown" in the cost basis section. Turbo tax understandably wanted a number put in the form, I went to the ASK for help and one other person had the same question, but unfortunately it had not been answered yet.
Thank you for making Tax time a lot less stressful and alot less expensive.

What's great about it: Love the ability to ask questions from Turbo Tax and others
What's not so great: None really, other than having to do taxes at all :)

Great Pfrogram

Had to get some help this year because the program would not accept the information from my 1099R . Friend gave me a telephone number to call and I spoke with a great helper in Syracuse NY by the name of Robert and he solved the problem. Once I was able to get this information I sailed thru the rest. Been using Turbo Tax for years.
What's great about it: Easy
What's not so great: getting individual help

GUIDED ME TO A LOWER TAX

THIS IS THE 12TH YEAR TO USE TURBOTAX. CARRYOVER INFORMATIO FROM ONE YEAR TO THE NEXT SPEEDS UP THE PROCESS. AS THE TAC CODE BECOMES MORE COMPLICATED, TURBOTAX GUIDES AND REMINDS ME SO NOTHING IS MISSED.
What's great about it: REMINDED ME ON DETAILS
What's not so great: MORE INFORMATION REQUIRED THAN LAST YEAR

Straightforward and Streamlined

The guided preparation of a tax return is very straightforward and understandable, with plenty of explanations and help available. Each year the program gets better at clarifying the issues that were confusing in the past. Even a fairly detailed return can be done in a few evenings if you have your data assembled beforehand.
What's great about it: Simplicity and ease of importing previous year's data and reporting year contributions
What's not so great: Infrequently the program asks you to input data that it could have imported (e.g., basis of your IRA)
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

simplicity

The 2012 year software seemed a bit more enjoyable for filing even though I paid near the same amount.
What's great about it: simple
What's not so great: not as detailed to me as last years version.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I'm generally happy with Turbo Tax. Have been using it for years, so that tells you something.
I usually file a Schedule C (sometimes TWO) and find I have to be diligent and switch back and forth from EASY STEP to FORMS to make sure I've got everything. Sometimes I fear I'll miss something I wish that all was clearer. (I use Deluxe, Perhaps the Business version would help here but, frankly it's way more than I need.)
Also had a problem with e-filing, had I ACCEPTED the software's suggestion to mail my return instead, I would not have learned (during a phone call to customer service) that the problem was known with Mac computers, and EASILY fixed.
That being said, once I got customer service on the line the problem was remedied and I e-filed successfully. I will continue to use Turbo Tax, and i trust that you will continue to improve it.

Give me a way to print out select pages. What if I run out of ink part way thru your print process?
I've forgotten my ID and PIN. Not easy to sign in with your system.
What's great about it: Like TTs carry forward of old info.
What's not so great: Printing is very difficult. What if I don't want to print 75 pages? Suppose I run out of ink halfway thru printout?
