this is my 5th year and it works great. I have to do 2 state returns, it would help if you gave a worksheet showing the fed and all state number on one page. Like you do for last year.
My Air Force (taxable) Retirement pay went down and my disable (not taxable) pay went up. My 1099-R was not correct and they do not make changes.

Working on Schedule C, when I was trying to enter business expense from my vehicle, which was over $5,000, it did nothing to the bottom line. All the other expenses would effect bottom line but vehicle expenses would not. Why have fields for entering vehicle expenses if it does nothing? Why does it not explain why it does nothing?
What's great about it: Overall very helpful
What's not so great: Part need to explain better

I've used Turbo Tax for years. Very Helpful. Allows me to go back and tweak my return. They ask you questions that can sometimes be very helpful in jogging your memory to things that can be deducted. Tax ware places your information on the right forms and does all the calculations for you. Good program.
What's great about it: Takes what you know and puts it in the right forms.
What's not so great: Doesn't pay your taxes for you.

Step by step takes one through the itemized deduction enumeration before getting to the standard deduction amount.
Having the standard deduction amount in hand would be a great help.

What's great about it: Accurate import and computation.
What's not so great: Step by step is cumbersome. All state buttons don't appear at top of screen.

I had a great experience with TurboTax and plan to use it again next year!
What's great about it: Product was easy to use and customer service was great!
What's not so great: Entering OID interest was a bit confusing at first.
