Easy to use

We have been using TurboTax for 15+ years and found it to be very easy to use. Will be using it for , hopefully, many more years to come.
What's great about it: Inexpensive and easy to find
What's not so great: Would be nice to be able to see a comparison with what the average tax payer is submitting

Good for the initial tax returns. Was not very helpful in filing amended returns at both the federal & state levels.
What's not so great: Was not very helpful when I had to do ammended returns.

The filing via Turbotax has improved. I did not notice any of the frustrations I had in previous years with the programs.
What's great about it: Quick, comprehensive, easy
What's not so great: Should be able to print the local forms separately as a 3rd item in printing.

Easy!

Turbo Tax makes it super easy to file my own return. The process is simplified with lots of yes or no questions. I don't have to skip through pages that are not relevant to me. Turbo Tax skips them for me, but I can go back and review a section if maybe later it seems I might have to fill it out anyway. It's less expensive and I can do it at home while taking care of my little one. I did not see any difference in the amount of refund I usually get when I pay more money to have a professional do it. Also, if I file consecutive years using Turbo Tax, the software imports all the info from my previous year's return so I don't have to! Awesome! As I go along the blue links and question marks help me figure out anything I don't understand. There is also good information from the Turbo Tax community. Someone else has usually already asked the same question I'm asking. Turbo tax also gives me easy access to related IRS publications so I can get info directly from the IRS if something is not clear. Love it! Will definitely continue using Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy access to clarification
What's not so great: Nothing I didn't like.

Visiting an old friend

Since the days of DOS I have relied on Turbo-Tax every year. This year I tried a competitive package and was disappointed. It just did not have the same "feel", so I bought the Turbo-Tax Deluxe version for the desktop and finished my taxes in a few days. My State and Federal returns were accepted on the first try.
What's great about it: I like the "Score board" for comparison by year and what sections are completed.
What's not so great: I can't think of a thing.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Makes Tax Preparation Easy

I deal with many computer software packages in my profession and I find Turbo Tax to be one of the best. I used Turbo Tax for many years and it makes my life simple when doing Fed and State Taxes. I do not know how I would complete my tax returns without this software. Thank You Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Excellent Software - no bugs and great help screen

Gave me confidence!

I used to be terrified of the tax process, but Turbo Tax has given me confidence. I like the encouraging comments along the way and the assurance that Turbo Tax knows what it's doing. Also, being able to import info from banks, etc. is great!

Most accountants probable use this program but don't tell you. .
Using Turbo Tax almost puts you in accountant's category without the degree along with saving you cash.
