2013 Tax Return

Keep up the good work Turbo Tax. You get better & easier every year. Thank you.
What's great about it: Explains in layman's terms - easy to understand and backs up with excellent HELP info.
What's not so great: I was not aware had to split medical by husband & wife separate. A heads up would have been nice earlier.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Usual Goodness, a few hmm

I've used TurboTax for more than 10 years now for our personal taxes. I have to deal with up to 10 W-2s, a Schedule C, and a variety of deductions including non-reimbursed business expenses and then this year an S Corp to boot. You can imagine how helpful I find it that prior year info can be imported. I use the pick-it-myself method, which I find has the right level of guidance questions per section. And the indicators from last year's return help me remember all the sections I need to process or update. I used the Community's Q&A for the first time, because the Summary page didn't reflect my updates to Schedule C, even after going through that section several times... [wait, that's $0 - didn't I Update that already?]. The Q&A did prove helpful with an explanation and advising no connection to what actually gets filed. The issue was acknowledged, though no solution as yet. eFiling was easy and very fast. I fully expect to be using TurboTax yet again next year.
What's great about it: easy for a long time user to get through quickly - consistency year over year
What's not so great: a few summary issues - nothing missed but made me think it had

would not efile

trying to efile Turbotax would error out saying the app needed an update. I updated (twice) and tried again (twice) showing the same error both times. Its a good thing I filed a few days early because I ended up having to print the return and file by mail.
What's great about it: taxes prepared fairly easily
What's not so great: would not efile

Fast and Convenient

I was thrilled to be able to sit down and do my taxes start to finish in about five hours including the electronic submittal.
One evening and I am done.

What's great about it: Looked up last years taxes and made this years very easy
What's not so great: Wish the state electronic filing did not cost extra

Even though I know and understand the Forms, I prefer to let Turbo Tax take my information and put it in all the places it has to go. A really great tool...!!!

Enhancements Continue

I have used TurboTax for many years and it keeps improving and the enhancements make it possible to keep up with the changing "landscape" of Federal and State requirements.
I feel comfortable as to accuracy and reliability and appreciate the confidence that I feel when I submit my returns.
A well constructed product.
What's great about it: Very dependable and comprehensive

Turbo Tax ROCKS!!

I have used Turbo Tax for the past several years after hearing others sing its praises. I, too, have joined the choir! Makes my life so much easier, and I have a level of trust when using it that I never felt when I did it all by hand. Plus, it makes everything so easy...from page to page, subject to subject...it is excellent.
What's great about it: Couldn't be simpler

If Only The Government Worked This Well?

I am a user of QuickBooks Pro and so I speak the language. I really like the way TurboTax can retreive my information directly from QuickBooks and my last years TurboTax.
What's great about it: Completed on my own time.
What's not so great: None
