Great time!

This is the 5th year that I have used Turbo Tax. It is very easy to read and understand. It really didn't take that long to complete - maybe about 45 minutes. I would definitely use it next year!
What's great about it: Very easy language.
What's not so great: Would have liked a few more "NA" buttons.

End of Nightmare

This is so much better than filling in government paper tax returns. Intuitive, easy, and you can make it as automatic as you want with the step by step interview process. If you prefer to go in the order you like then you can select that option. You mold this into whatever you want it to be. Fantastic!
What's great about it: So easy and fast! No more midnight runs to the post office.
What's not so great: One form I needed in West Virginia was not included.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

unexpected ease

I struggled knowing whether you wanted a fee for the year or a monthly payment fee for health insurance. As I said, use of the term "insurance premium" gave me some confidence to enter the monthly fee.
What's great about it: familar format, transfer of last year's return was appreciated, use of the term "insurance premium" was helpful
What's not so great: seemed too easy
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

it wasn't easy

some forms insisted on entering info that wasn't there, e.g. on my Illinois State Tax form it insisted on entering county 2 and 3, and I had no such entry to make -- however it insisted there was an error.
What's great about it: import of last year's taxes
What's not so great: difficulty in filling out some forms

You need to clean up the results page when trying to print so it is more intuitive. I printed the same data multiple times from review to filing. Even when I tried to select just print State filing, other unneeded pages came up. Also I believe how you handle state property tax rebate in NJ may be wrong.
What's not so great: The final review threw me to a page which I had no idea what it was.

I'm Back for Good!

I tried another on line service last year, and will never make that mistake again. Too much trouble going back and forth to obtain information. I feel much more confident that my tax return is being completed accurately when I file with TurboTax.
What's great about it: Easy, goof proof, It's Deductible.
What's not so great: Only 1 state filing included

2013 FED/CASTATE

I found Turbo Tax Deluxe very easy to navigate through. I was prompted for more answers than the biggest walk-in tax service ever asked. These answers made a big impact on how much tax I owed. I will continue to use only Turbo Tax in the future.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Asks more pertinent questions tax service.
What's not so great: Need to work on CA state questions regarding military status.
