2014 OK

I would highly recommend this program to those that like to be in charge of what they are doing. It gives you the opportunity to work at your pace and yet get everything done and get what may be owed you.
What's great about it: easily worked with for a person with general knowledge
What's not so great: only concerned about safety

Info Transfer

I have used Turbo tax exclusively for the past 5 years to complete my tax forms and to pay via e-file.
This year the Deluxe version did not transfer all my 1099-Rs from last year's information.
I have two pensions and a preforming IRA, only one pension was transferred...seems to be a bug.
What's not so great: did not trans all info from last year

After several years, coming back to TurboTax. It is now very simplified and improved a lot.
What's great about it: Every topic is neatly presented and very easily understandable.
What's not so great: Nothing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Irked me off

Very disappointed. Got to the end and during error check came up with a Car and Truck Expense form that I never filled out or needed. No way to delete it.Can't file because it checks it. Help is of no use.

Getting worse each year

The problem is that TT is great if you have a simple return - but then you don't really need TT
If you have a complex return, there are many places where the program falls short; it is difficult to correct some values; adding charitable deductions takes way to many clicks and screens per item, the language of many of the screens is un clear (the print return screen in particular is poorly worded)
The forms view is often not user friendly; the import from external partner has very few options;
the really complex stuff like AMT is just useless - you have hundreds of choices with no guidance whatsoever
I guess it is better then doing it by hand
