Improvements for 2013

The overall ease of use for TT is evident when you can work the forms from start to finish without stopping or you can stop, save and go back to where you left off.
The software gets better each year.
I spend a lot of time entering medical and regular donations, etc.Making these as easy and simple as possible would save time.
Overall, a good software program for ease of filing.

What's great about it: The new method for entering deductions is faster using previolus year's list.
What's not so great: In the area for filing deductions, make the return to the main pag go to the bottom, not the top to save key strokes.

Ohio city taxes. I work in Dayton and live in Oakwood (45409) in Montgomery county. I have to pay 2.25% to Dayton and 2.55 to Oakwood, less the 2.255 I pay to Dayton. So net is 2.25% to Dayton and .25% to Oakwood. This was not clear or easy to handle. Still not sure if it's correct.

As soon as a competitor comes up with a well priced and similar alternative, we will buy the other product.
What's great about it: Easy to follow.
What's not so great: Too expensive.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great overall package. Should have someone to consult with online if we run into issues and not just have a listing of answers to questions that are somewhat related to the topic.
Some things are not obvious and this is where some help would be very useful.
Will still use Turbo tax next year.

What's great about it: relatively easy to follow and fill out the forms
What's not so great: wish I had a tax consultant on line to chat with when I ran into problems with my 1099-R.

Whoever dreamed up limited partnerships should be force to calculate the square root of Pi (by hand) out to at least a google of places.
Between the lack of info sent out on the K-1's and what Turbo-Tax is looking for one can very quickly wander off into neverneverland. Somehow make it simple enough for someone like me (with an MBA in finance) to navigate
