2013 Turbo Tax Deluxe

I've been using Turbo Tax for many years now. It is so easy and accurate. Asks the right questions to get the refund we deserve. Plus, if you have an issue, they have experts available to answer all my questions. Cheapest and best way to do your own taxes. To have your taxes does is at least twice the amount you paid for Turbo Tax, and more likely three to four times as much. Great program and service.
What's great about it: So easy to use. Asks all the right questions.
What's not so great: Can't think of anything.

Quick and easy

First, it's great that TurboTax pulls in all the basic info from your previous year's filing (assuming you used TT, and still have the .tax file). It does a great job of stepping through the required income and credit/deduction/other steps. The one drawback is there are a lot of possible credits and deductions, many of which won't apply to any given person. A blurb about "this group may apply to you if..." before each group of steps would be nice so that users would have a better sense of if they need to view an entire section or can skip ahead.
What's great about it: Imported last year's info, walks you through the required numbers
What's not so great: Lots of steps that don't apply to many filers

Great/but update frustrating

Fast and easy. Installed update before even starting return. Upon finishing, it would not let us file, due to not updating and installing update.
Had to close out, reinstall disc, update (again) everything transferred (thank you) then had to file. It was worth every penny, but it shouldn't have made us reinstall and update.

Tax Time 2013

I have used Turbo Tax for 9 years now and love it. So easy and have never had an audit. Will continue to use Turbo Tax in future years. Thanks for staying current and keep up the good programming.
What's great about it: Very Easy to do return
What's not so great: None that I can think of.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

State form automatically deducted children's interest/dividend income from the Federal form (good), but did not provide a means to see the details (part of my dividend income was the parents, part the child's). I think it took half, but this was not correct amount (it was not significant in amount, but if it was, then: bad). The interest/dividend income input page provide a choice for husband or wife (filing jointly), but not for child.
Just glad it wasn't a large amount in my case.

easy to follow

if putting in deductions it would be nice to have an idea of the amount needed to get a credit before spending so much time putting all the information in and then your not evan close to the amount needed
What's great about it: easy with step by step direction
What's not so great: after putting in information then it says you did not have enough to get the credit
