Not as user friendly as tax cut was

Small issue trying to complete K-1 Schedule - kept getting error message regarding missing data - not sure what was needed - finally completed.

I have used Turbo Tax for many Years and it has made my tax preparation easy and fast to complete. The downloads are especially helpful and time saving.

Made My Life Easier

I did my taxes before I got a computer by hand, using the workbook and it took me days to get them done. I always had a fear that I would leave something out or figure something wrong. When this grandmother bought her first computer I decided to try a software to see if it was easier. I am sorry to say the first one I bought was not Turbo Tax. The next year I decided to try Turbo Tax and glad that I did, I have been using it for past 10 years. I like how easy it is to use and how it covers everything that can help me and how it will ask me questions when I put in something wrong. This year I had a question about RMD's. I asked it and it covered a lot of different situations but not mine. I called the number for expert tax help ( the 1st time I ever had to call ) and they were very helpful. I highly recommend Turbo Tax and if this grandma can use it, you know it has to be easy to use.
What's great about it: Easy to get expert tax help when I needed it !

buggy in royalty taxes

Things were fine til I got to the section on entering the royalty taxes. I could not ener two different sums in taxes and other taxes. And if I entered 2 different ones it blanked one and double entered the other Although I eventually figured out that the duplications were harmless, it was a 15 minute frustrating experience that could have easily been avoided by a few additional directions. Turbo is so well designed and maintained, i was really surprised this section wasn't more "idiot proofed",

This was great. For the past 15 years a CPA has been doing my taxes for a small business. Closed it in 2012. This was the first time in 15 or 16 years I had done my own taxes and TurboTax made it quick and easy.
What's great about it: Simple, easy, quick
What's not so great: can't think of any
