Safe, Simple, Super!

We've been using TurboTax for at least ten years. We have used just about every version depending on our needs for a particular year. I've just finished our 2013 taxes and it has been the easiest yet. TurboTax was good ten years ago and it has improved every year since.
We've sold homes and carried financing, been landlords, sold stocks, bonds and mutual funds, paid for college, even owned a business and worked from a home office, and TurboTax has always made our tax preparation simple. We've never even considered hiring an expensive tax preparer.
I rarely write product reviews, but I have and will continue to recommend TurboTax to anyone who pays taxes.
What's great about it: Its simplicity and reliability.
What's not so great: None. I'm a completely satisfied customer.

Difficult to submit

Does the job but frustrating to get taxes filed correctly, the software seems to try to make it difficult to print if you are not interested (or cannot) efile, particularly in the case of state taxes.
What's great about it: Went through all of the steps to file return bit by bit
What's not so great: Unable to efile federal form - kept giving me an error message, saying I needed to update software, which was done

If you don' t want to set and wait, in an office, if you don"t want to travel to get your taxes done, if you want to do it on your own time and have all your papers in order and ready, and if you don't have all your papers ready, there is no running back and forth to home. At my and my wifes age ,this is a very simple thing to do, and its really not that expensive, ya gotta give this a try. Been doing it for years.
What's great about it: at our age, even we can do it, and save $$$$, plus no waiting , no traveling, do it on your own time frame
What's not so great: Well,, cant think of anything !!!

Thorough, accurate, excellent interview questions

Turbotax was very thorough and accurate. The interview questions were really helpful. I would definitely recommend TurboTax, especially if you have a fairly complicated return. They really saved us some money.

Print State

You need to make it easier for people to non-e-file the state returns. I had to go back and re-do the last few steps to make it possible for me to print and mail in my state returns. This seems like a normal thing to do, e-file federal and then mail in state. Please make this easier and more obvious in the future.
