Been using it since before TurboTax bought out MacInTax--I was using MacInTax for years and when TurboTax bought them out, TT didn't offer their tax package on the MAC. I actually switched from the MAC to the PC so I could use the TurboTax package. Talk about a dedicated user/fan!! They should be paying ME for being so loyal!!
What's great about it: Easy, Accurate
What's not so great: Wish it were less expensive.

I had to file a 1099 Misc for the first time this year for a side business and TT made it easy and I felt secure

All inferno broke lose when I tried to enter my wife's annuity info. It reflected it as a 401k IRA. Had to erase all entries and finally after 2 days it worked. Even considered filing a paper return and tossing TT.
What's great about it: General ease of use
What's not so great: Confusing at entering annuities (Line 16)

As a retired former tax professional, I am pleased to know that TurboTax is keeping up with any/all tax law changes for me. I have been out of the tax prep business to long to try to keep up with the changes, nor do I want to!

Easy to follow instructions...much easier then trying to do all of this on my own
What's great about it: simple to follow instructions
What's not so great: Cost of program AND user still has to put up with ads! (i.e. buy this "extra" Turbo Tax product/s)

When I started filling out my federal return, the state sales tax exemption was not available and later, when it was, no notice was given me. It was only when I read in the newspaper that it existed for the 2013 tax year was I able to find and claim it. That saved me over $400 and I might have missed out if I had not been paying attention. Something this important should be highlighted.
