Got Mine Finished

In a loop at the end. Program wanted to to delete zip. However, zip was required. Just skipped it.
What's great about it: Quick and Easy
What's not so great: Resident and non-resident state froms were difficult
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I've been using turbotax (and prior incarnations) for about 25 years and couldn't live (in the usa) without it. The tax code is so gol-durned complicated that it defies understanding,... half of this line unless it's 10% of that line, but only if your birthday is in July,... Who dreams up this stuff? Don't answer that.
My taxes are a little, but not that complicated. I can't imagine dealing with a really complex situation and not wanting to put money into a CPA's pocket just so the gov'ment can get blood from my turnip,... without TT!
I've got some tax changes happening this year that will require a little more effort next year (probate, etc.) and was keeping an eye on TT this year and it looks like it's going to handle it just fine. I can't wait until tax time next year?? Did I just say that.

What's great about it: quick easy good help through the tricky parts
What's not so great: a little too chatty at (simple) times (pictures of confident people with folded arms is a little distracting)

effective and efficient

I am very happy with using Turbo Tax. I always feel that I have left no stone unturned after completing my federal and state return and am confident that I am retaining solid documentation. It is quite helpful to have Turbo Tax automatically retrieve my prior year tax forms as a starting point for repetitive data fields.
What's great about it: Very comprehensive and good tools like that used to assess values for donated goods.
What's not so great: State return made reference to a capital "gain" filed on federal return when it was, unfortunately, a "loss".

2013 Turbotax Review

Picked up TT at 3:00pm, had the return substantially completed by 9:00pm. Most of the time taken up in gathering personal records and determining cost basis on sales of stocks. TT made entering all of the information easy.
What's great about it: Easy to Use, quick to file required forms, great at downloading bank and investment documents
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Print function needs improvement

I don't like the fact that you cannot print from within the application. It kicks you out to an external PDF application. That is cumbersome in my case and I don't like it at all.
What's great about it: I like the way it keeps prior year information
